Built in 1917, the bridge features fourteen small girder spans crossing the Fox River. These spans are supported by concrete and caisson piers.
As of 2018, the bridge along with two others in Appleton will be given to the city by Canadian National Railway, in exchange for closing two crossings of the railroads choice. The 1.4 million Dollar project to deck this bridge opened in Augst 2020.
